An independent shopin St. Joseph.

Foreign and domestic. Diagnosis, brakes, steering and suspension, engine bay work, and whatever the car actually turns out to need rather than what it looked like at first.

The short version

“I spent 3 days in my vehicle broke down … Changing out power steering crossover line thinking power steering pump bad, had already bought it. Called this shop. I’m so glad we did … Even found a tail light tht wasn’t working fixed tht too. Went above and beyond.”

They had already bought the wrong part. That is the job: finding out what is actually wrong before anybody spends money on the thing that isn’t.

What we do

Six things that come through the door.

01

Working out what it actually is

A customer arrived having already bought a power steering pump, sure that was the fault. It was the crossover line. The part they had bought stayed in the box.

02

Brakes

A visitor from Texas turned up worried about brake trouble on a family trip and was back on the road the same visit.

03

Steering and suspension

Control arms, ball joints and bushings, off the car and replaced properly.

04

Engine bay work

Modern V8s included, on trucks and SUVs that get used.

05

Older and modified vehicles

Classic convertibles and lifted pickups get the same bay as everything else. Foreign and domestic.

06

The bits nobody asked about

One customer had a dead tail light found and fixed while a much bigger job was going on.

The shop

Two posts, a concrete floor, and whatever you drove in on.

A red Dodge Ram pickup raised on a two-post lift inside the workshop
A lifted tan and black Chevrolet pickup on off-road tires
Older and modified trucks
A Dodge Durango with the hood up and the engine bay exposed
Engine bay work
A pickup towing a trailer with another truck loaded on it
Vehicles that arrive on a trailer
A control arm with ball joint and bushing, removed from a vehicle

A control arm off the car, on the floor, where you can see what was actually replaced.
